Equipment

The overall plan will be to have access to a large range of specialist machinery, ranging from winch-equipped off-road vehicles and amphibious tracked all-terrain vehicles, to 8-wheel drive trucks. We would hope that manufacturers of such equipment would be more than happy to loan it to us in exchange for positive media coverage and putting something back into the British countryside.

As well as vehicle manufacturers, we will be approaching all the other companies that deal with expedition projects, along with insurance and financial institutions. We have contacts who produce outdoor clothing, high-calorie foods and cooking stoves, not to mention tents and sleeping equipment for those longer jobs. The aim would be for the team to become fully self-sufficient, so that they could remain at the location until the clean-up job has been completed.
